Summary of Cover
PUBLIC LIABILITY
This cover is intended to protect- The organisation as a whole
- The Leaders, Volunteers an Members individually
- Payments of damages, which you are obliged to pay by law
- Accidental bodily injury to an individual who has no connection to your organisation (a Third Party) or damage to the individuals property (an excess of £100 will apply to property damage.)
- A member of your club causing accidental bodily injury to another club member or damage to the property of another club member (again a £100 excess will apply to property damage)
- An act of negligence by either a leader, volunteer, member or your organisation as a whole.
The maximum amount payable in respect of any one incident is £5,000,000. The insurance cover will also pay, subject to the Insurance Company’s permission, up to £250,000 in respect of legal fees for defending any action brought against your organisation in a UK Court of Law.
EMPLOYERS LIABILITY
This cover is intended to protect- The organisation
- Payments of damages, which you are obliged to pay by law
- Accidental bodily injury to either one of your employee’s, leaders or volunteers
- An act of negligence by either your organisation or employee, leaders or volunteer.
The maximum amount payable in respect of any one incident is £10,000,000.
Employers Liability insurance is compulsory by law where an employer/employee/volunteer relationship exists.
PERSONAL ACCIDENT
Personal Accident cover provides a stated sum of money, or scale of benefit, should an accident occur whilst undertaking club activities to an Insured person irrespective of liability. It is up to each Club or Association to decide the level of cover it requires but it should be noted that the maximum number of units permissible per item description is FIVE, with the number of units for Under 16’s limited to ONE.
